Amanda Amadei

Amanda Amadei (she/her)

Credentials: E-RYT 500, Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), Trauma informed yoga instructor, Pre/postnatal yoga instructor, certified personal trainer

Amanda Amadei is grateful to have been teaching yoga classes, private clients, workshops, retreats, and yoga teacher trainings in the Hudson Valley for over ten years.  Her teaching empowers yoga students of all abilities and identities to cultivate freedom and strength in their bodies, and to practice with patience, courage, and a light heart. As you move through a yoga class with Amanda, you will focus on linking the movements to the breath. This unified practice, called vinyasa, creates an experience on the mat that goes beyond physical aptitude to one of true self-study and integration.

Amanda has studied extensively in the areas of trauma informed yoga, yoga for anxiety and depression, therapeutic yoga, and yoga for seniors. She is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500), a continuing education provider, and the lead instructor for Amadei Yoga School. She holds a BFA in theatre from the University of Illinois with a focus on physical theatre and stage combat.  Prior to moving to the Hudson Valley, she worked as a personal fitness trainer in Chicago for ten years.

Amanda is grateful to her primary teachers, Liz Ortiz and Jason Crandell for their wisdom and continued guidance.  She lives in Garrison with her partner, son, dog, cat, and big beautiful garden.
