Sarah Capua
C-IAYT Yoga Therapist
E-RYT 500
Contemplative End-of-Life Caregiver
Sarah is a dedicated student, teacher, and spiritual caregiver, rooted in the tradition of Yoga and grounded in the practice of Zen Buddhism. These paths led her to become a Yoga Therapist in the tradition of T.Krishnamacharya and TKV Desikachar, an End of Life Doula and Chaplain, and, over the years, her practice and her profound relationships with her students led to a devoted life of service and spirit. Her hope is to be a compassionate and curious support for others on the path, to bear witness and make meaning, and to hold a mirror up to our embodied wisdom which can be a companion no matter where life takes us.
About Yoga Therapy
Yoga is a system which recognizes our multi-dimensional nature, and understands that healing involves more than just our physical body. Yoga therapy is the thoughtful application of the tools of yoga - postures, movement, breath-work, meditative tools, teachings and more - to come into conversation with all of the aspects of ourselves necessary for real transformation. Yoga therapy aims to bring us into nourishing relationship with our whole system, helps us to open to what needs our attention, to access what is hidden beneath our stories, to bring intentionality to our reactivity, and to understand ourselves more deeply, so we have full access to our innate, internal support for our own healing.
YT sessions look different for each individual and their specific needs. They can include prescribed movement and breathing practices, led meditation, conversation and listening, exploring teachings, visualization, chanting, ritual, or supported rest. Sarah's first intention is to keep her clients safe, supported, and seen.
Sarah offers one-on-one sessions one Saturday a month at FulBeing, as well as group practice and study.
Summer 2025 dates for 1:1 sessions:
